    Overall and Mixed Use Winner of the MIPIM Architectural Review Future Projects Awards 2010

    Designed by internationally-renowned Pritzker Prize-winning architect Jean Nouvel, with Sidell Gibson as delivery architects, the award-winning One New Change covers eight floors, with high-grade offices, 60 shops and restaurants, including Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen and Jamie Oliver’s
    Barbecoa.

    The site is in the heart of the City and has a public roof terrace which provides spectacular views of St Paul’s Cathedral. The building has a pioneering renewable ground source energy system combining open loop bore holes and closed loop energy piles, delivering at peak 2.4 MW of renewable energy.

    The Bishops Square development provides a major public space for London, larger than the Piazza at Covent Garden. The office led scheme includes 100,000m² of office accommodation and features extensive landscaping to the public realm.

    With high-efficiency energy systems, the scheme includes water-cooled chillers incorporating heat recovery from the condenser water system, a substantial standby power generation facility, photovoltaic cells and extensive green roofs.

    Hoare Lea was involved with buildings one, two, four and six with building four winning BCO Best of the Best Award.

    The scheme includes more than 1,000,000m² of office space, together with leisure, retail and residential accommodation. Each of the development’s individually designed buildings offers a unique, contemporary workplace.

    This is a mixed-use, 8,360m² office led development. In addition to the creation of 6,040m² of high quality speculative office space, the scheme includes retail accommodation and the refurbishment of an adjoining residential property to provide 10 high specification apartments.

    The development has been designed to exceed the requirements of Building Regulation L2A and the office accommodation will achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’.

    The International Quarter (TIQ) is a new commercial district in Stratford City and will transform the Olympic Park by creating a vibrant and dynamic commercial hub in the heart of Stratford City.

    The development will comprise 371,600m² of Grade A office space, a new hotel and 350 homes. Outline planning consent has been secured and construction can start following the completion of the Olympic Games, with first occupancy anticipated for late 2014/early 2015.

    The BREEAM ‘Excellent’ Cube represents the final phase of the Mailbox development in Birmingham. This unique building provides 41,800m² of mixed-use floor space. It has a striking façade and offers cutting-edge design and breathtaking views.

    High specification offices are configured around the central courtyard with level six hosting the main entrance lobby, complete with visitor waiting area, concierge reception and access to the basement car park.

    The Cube is also home to Birmingham’s first rooftop restaurant, with panoramic views; a boutique hotel; and residential apartments with internal views over the twisting atrium.

    In addition to the offices, the development includes retail space on the ground floor and 22 luxury residential units.
