Hoare Lea recognise that effective management of occupational health and safety is an essential element of its business and strives to take all reasonable measures to ensure the health, safety and welfare of its employees, visitors, contractors working on its behalf, as well as the local community.
This objective of the Practice is under-pinned by Health and Safety Legislation which requires that employers have appropriate arrangements in place for the management and control of health and safety at work.
Hoare Lea discharges this responsibility by implementing and maintaining an Occupational Health and Safety Management System that meets the standards established by BS OHSAS 18001. The management system provides a framework for managing Health and Safety responsibilities so they become more efficient and integrated into overall business operations.
The Health and Safety Working Group is responsible for ensuring that Health and Safety procedures are implemented consistently and are regularly reviewed to reflect the current requirements of Legislation and of the Practice.
