Our people

Steve Harrison

Director

One of the most interesting aspects of our work is that – as the building services engineer, we are involved from project inception. Our role involves gathering the varying and sometimes complex requirements that make up a project brief and working in collaboration with fellow designers to influence the development of the architectural concepts. I work across a number of sectors and lead frameworks for a number of our University clients. I also lead our work in retail fit-out for a number of high street retailers.

Engineering human experiences.

Bournemouth University’s Fusion building has made a positive impact on the everyday experience of both students and staff at the University. The large atrium – with its refectory and social space – has created a fantastic environment and provides a new focal point that draws people into the building from across the campus. As well as creating this great internal environment it is also satisfying to know that the building is helping the University to achieve its carbon reduction targets.

A defining moment.

I have led our work for Primark in the delivery of more than 150 projects – both in the UK and internationally. Our first project for the client was in Basildon Essex in 1999. Little did I know then that this would be the start of a client relationship that would enable us to work on projects throughout the UK, Ireland and France and reach a defining point when I attended the opening of Primark’s first store in the USA at Downtown Crossing, Boston in 2015. Therefore completing a journey from Basildon to Boston!
