During World War two my Grandfather worked in Naval shipyards building warships. When I was a young boy, I was fascinated by his stories about this time and I decided that one day I too would be like my Grandfather and be an Engineer.

I decided to join Hoare Lea because the London office provided me with access to high profile clients and architects; it also offered me the opportunity to start up the Vertical Transportation group.

One of my most memorable projects has been working on the DIFC PA05 in Dubai. The building has 101 levels and the VT design includes all of the available cutting edge technology.
