Studying Electrical and Electronic Engineering , it wasn't until I did my placement year with Hoare Lea that I realised building services was for me. I was finding electronics uninspiring. A perfectly spaced square wave would be the end result of a four day project - it didn't rock my boat. I enjoy the fact that building services is more 'physical' and you have a tangible result.

I now primarily focus on retail led, urban regenerative schemes. I enjoy the wide diversity of people who work within the sector. There's a good spirit in the business. The schemes have a huge impact on local communities, changing city-scapes, which is extremely rewarding.
