I guess Engineering runs in the blood – I have always wanted to explore how things work and from an early age I knew I was going to follow my father into Engineering, as did my brother.

Having studied Mechanical Engineering and joined Hoare Lea as a graduate, I now have over 25 years' of experience and am passionate about looking for optimum solutions to meet the clients brief and deliver exceptional value, low-carbon buildings. I think this means I tend towards a hands-on approach, enjoying the collaborative teamwork necessary to deliver schemes successfully.

The construction industry is constantly evolving and this combined with a huge variety of project types means there are always new technical and commercial challenges to tackle meaning no two days are alike. Career highlights to date include the delivery of complex pharmaceutical projects for Pfizer and RPR, new grandstands and a conference centre for Cheltenham Racecourse and low carbon, higher education schemes for Loughborough University.
