Mills Bakery, Plymouth, was presented with a RIBA 2010 Award for the South West region at the awards ceremony held on 19 May 2010.
Mills Bakery is one of the most important historic military buildings in the UK. This landmark mixed-use development comprises 87 luxury apartments, 1700m2 of retail space and more than 2500m2 of office accommodation.
Hoare Lea provided MEP consultancy services and specialist acoustics advice. The design solution successfully married the need for modern services with a respect for the historic nature of the building, with office services concealed within the existing roof and new boiler flues integrated within an existing chimney.
Liverpool One, sites 1 and 7
North West RIBA Award

Liverpool One was presented with a North West RIBA Award for sites 1and 7 at a ceremony held on 19 May 2010. Liverpool One is a high-profile, mixed-use development located in the centre of Liverpool.
Hoare Lea provided MEP, thermal modelling and acoustics consultancy services, together with a resident engineer, to sites 1, 5A, 5B, 5C, 6, 7, 7A, 8, 8A, and 16. Hoare Lea also provided cross-site acoustics, controls systems and drainage for the east side of the development.
Highbury Square, London
London RIBA Award

Client: Vision Four Developments (Highbury Holdings)
Highbury Square was presented for the RIBA award for the London region.
Highbury Square is the redevelopment of the Highbury stadium for Arsenal FC. The scheme includes high specification apartments, a health and fitness centre and basement parking. The scheme is based upon the retention and conversion of the existing Grade II listed East stand located adjacent to Avenell Road, the West Stand, also of historic significance but not listed, and the existing pitch area located between the two stands.
