Best Bespoke Development outside of Central London
The Environment Agency Building - Red Kite House,was voted the winner in the "Best Bespoke Development outside of Central London" at the 2005 OAS/IAS awards.
The awards recognise construction and design excellence within new industrial and office developments.
Red Kite House is naturally ventilated and incorporates best practice renewable energy features including photo-voltaic cells to generate electrical power, solar panels to provide hot water, a rainwater harvesting system to collect and re-use rainwater, motorised clerestory windows to allow an inflow of cool air at night and sustainable drainage.
Red Kite House is designed to achieve BREEAM Excellent.
