Hoare Lea won both 'Infrastructure (Medium Firm)' and 'Building Services (Medium Firm)' categories at the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) Engineering Excellence Awards 2010. The awards ceremony took place at the Grange St Paul's Hotel, London, on Wednesday 14 April.
The Engineering Excellence Awards are now in their third year. The awards have become a well recognised symbol of success within consultancy engineering. Winners and commendable mentions highlight the high standards the sector can achieve all around the world and recognise the best in the business.
The 'Infrastructure (Medium Firm)' award was presented to Hoare Lea for its work on the converged network infrastructure at Cabot Circus, Bristol and was accepted by Laurence Johnson (Executive Engineer, Hoare Lea).
The 'Building Services (Medium Firm)' award was presented to Hoare Lea for its work on Warwick Digital Laboratory and was accepted by Dave Woolley (Executive Engineer, Hoare Lea).
Hoare Lea was also runner-up in the 'Building Services(Medium Firm)' category for Cabot Circus, Bristol.
Ian Durbin, Partner, commented: 'Winning one ACE award would have been great - but winning two is beyond our expectations. This achievement recognises the high quality of our work and demonstrates Hoare Lea's excellence in engineering.'
