Hoare Lea appoints new Partner - Matt Jones

Hoare Lea announces that Matt Jones has accepted an invitation to join the Partnership.

Matt Jones, BEng (Hons) CEng MCIBSE MIET, has worked within the building services sector for almost 25 years. On leaving school in 1986 Matt undertook a craft apprenticeship with Rover Group and then spent time in full-time education. Matt’s first job in consulting engineering was in Hong Kong working on the rail link to the Chek Lap Kok airport. After returning to the UK he worked in design groups for contractors and consulting engineers before joining Hoare Lea in 2000.

Matt has spearheaded Hoare Lea’s work in Oxford and was instrumental in opening the Oxford office in 2007. Since then, he has played a key role in its development. His current projects include a chemistry laboratory and a physics laboratory for Oxford University. He is also working on various high-end residential schemes in London and redevelopment work at Oxford and Cherwell Valley College.

Matt will continue to operate from Oxford, where he will assist in the day-to-day running and development of the office. Matt will also continue in his role as sector champion for heritage work.
