‘Sustainable Stadium Designs and the QSAS Approach’
Saturday 2 June 2012 at the Qatar National Convention Centre
Hoare Lea has been invited by GORD (Gulf Organisation for Research and Development) to take part in a seminar exploring ‘Sustainable Stadium Designs and the QSAS Approach’. The seminar, which forms part of GORD’s QSAS Continuing Professional Development programme, will take place on Saturday 2 June 2012 from 9am to 1pm at the Qatar National Convention Centre.
The seminar is organised in collaboration with Foster + Partners, Hoare Lea and Thornton Tomasetti. John Rhoden, Partner, Hoare Lea, and Cara Tissandier, Principal of MENA Sustainability Team, Hoare Lea, will present a session entitled: ‘Functionality of Stadia and the application of QSAS Sports’. This will explore various issues including energy efficiency, C02 reduction and renewable energy opportunities.
The event will give attendees the opportunity to listen to professionals with stadia design experience across the world and in particular the Middle East. It will also raise awareness of all elements of stadia design from master planning to operation, while providing delegates with an understanding of the requirements of QSAS Sports.
