Welsh office building wins at Builder & Engineer Awards 2011

The Ceredigion County Council Offices has won yet another award. The Welsh office building won a fifth award for the Public Sector Project of the Year category at the Builder & Engineer Awards 2011. The awards, now in their eighth year, celebrate the best in UK construction, management and innovation and were held at Lancashire Cricket Ground, Manchester on 5 October 2011.

The BREEAM ‘Excellent’ County Council offices provide new office accommodation for more than 410 staff, brought together from offices across Aberystwyth. Hoare Lea acted as the MEP consultant and undertook acoustic and refrigeration duties for the low carbon development.

The Lancaster Institute for Contemporary Arts, another a Hoare Lea project, was also shortlisted in the Sustainable Project of the Year category.
