We recognise that we are directly responsible for the offices we operate from and indirectly for the environmental impact arising from the construction and operation of the buildings we help design. We see it as our duty to make these buildings as sustainable as possible.

We embed sustainability at all levels of the firm and all of our engineers are responsible for creating and contributing to sustainable designs. To ensure we stay at the forefront of sustainable development, we also have a team of consultants whose role is to develop strategies that address important issues such as energy, water, waste management, materials management, transportation, health and well-being.

With the operation of buildings accounting for more than 40% of the carbon emissions in the UK it is vital that we use our expertise to encourage sustainable design.
